When Paul Pierce had his No. 34 jersey raised to the rafters at the TD Garden on Sunday, Ray Allen was noticeably missing.
Several former teammates, including Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo were on hand to honor Pierce. Former Celtics head coach Doc Rivers, now with the LA Clippers, was on hand as well while Allen enjoyed a game of golf with comics George Lopez and Chris Spencer.
While it’s no secret that Allen’s departure from the Celtics to join the Miami Heat caused some bad blood, Pierce insists that the two have resolved their differences.
Allen took to Instagram to congratulate Pierce as well as address his departure from the 2008 NBA Championship team.
