The Rockets earned a solid 129-120 win over the Timberwolves in Minneapolis last night but it didn’t come without some tension. Early in the fourth quarter, Chris Paul and Gorgui Deng were battling for a rebound and it was physical. Deng ended up pushing Paul and that caused Rockets teammate Gerald Green to immediately push Deng.
Paul saluted Green for having his back and said that he would cover any fine that Green faces, according Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Chris Paul, by the way, said he would pick up any fine that comes Green’s way for the incident. https://t.co/Z7Ssk26BNo

“I’m just trying to be there for my teammate,” said Green. “I saw something happen and I reacted. I paid the consequences for it. I learned my lesson, got ejected, try not to do that again, and hopefully we’re going to move forward from this.”
The Rockets face the Trailblazers in Portland tomorrow night.
