Bengals Linebacker Vontaze Burfict has been notorious for his physical play on the field. Many remember his controversial hit on Steelers WR Antonio Brown in the playoffs a few seasons ago. Burfict is now facing another problem.
Bengals’ LB Vontaze Burfict is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Drug policy, pending appeal, league sources tell ESPN. No appeal date yet.

According to ESPN’s Adam Shefter, Burfict could serve a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s PED policy. Burfict also missed the first five games of the 2017 season due to an illegal hit on Chiefs Fullback Anthony Sherman in a preseason game.
Burfict will appeal the suspension due to the fact that the medicine he took was prescribed medication for a concussion he sustained off of a hit by Steelers Wide Receiver Ju-Ju Smith-Shuster in December. Prescribed medication was also neeeded after suffering a Grade 3 shoulder AC sprain vs the Lions that same month.
The Bengals do a solid job of putting together aggressive defenses but Burfict needs to stay focused in order to finally bring Cincinatti success in the playoffs. The Bengals haven’t won a playoff game since 1990.
