Ever since Johnny Manziel showed up at the Unversity of San Diego’s Pro Day and saw how different it was covered by the NFL and mainstream media to Colin Kaepernick working out in Houston, people have mentioned the double standard that exists.
BSO wrote about this difference and how the NFL has just forgotten about Manziel’s past because they see an opportunity to pimp out his comeback story.
The issues isn’t Manziel specifically it is the system. Even taking race out of the equation you saw it with Manziel being compared to Baker Mayfield.
