Ray Allen Speaks On Rajon Rondo Again And Sticks Up For Kevin Durant Going To Warriors

Ray Allen’s book From The Outside released this week and it detailed everything from draft day to his time with the Celtics which included turmoil with teammates and not just an NBA championship.

A few weeks back, it was revealed on From The Outside how bad of a relationship Allen had with Celtics teammate Rajon Rondo. He blamed Rondo for both of them potentially being traded, Rondo claimed he carried them to a championship, and couldn’t wait for the 2011-12 season could be over so Allen would be gone.

In a recent interview with Complex, Allen decided to shut down any form of animosity that people still think he might have with Rondo. Allen said that they were always brothers and won together. He also understood the frustration that his teammates had when he left for Miami

Allen also stood up for Kevin Durant in regards to his signing with the Warriors. He said Durant was a free agent and can go wherever he wants.

“You get traded somewhere where you do not want to go, that’s not your choice, you have no control over that” said Allen on Durant. “You know, selfishly fans in their minds, they think certain things should happen in certain ways, and they decide it for themselves and that’s OK, but don’t crucify him or say he’s a bad person, or you start burning jerseys or calling the guy names—it’s his career. We all have those choices.”
