Safety Tyrann Mathieu has been signed by the Texans and many fans didn’t care much for this move due to opinions that he isn’t elite anymore or that he’s washed. Mathieu had 78 combined tackles and two interceptions last season.
Mathieu answered the doubters on Twitter and let the career numbers speak for themselves. He also mentioned how dmoinant he’s been despite missing 16 total games in his career.
Mathieu is right though from the sense of being one of the best safeties that the NFL has had since he got drafted in 2013. In his first three seasons, he had 180 solo tackles along with eight total interceptions. He started to regain form in 2017 and was able to avoid the injury bug.
