Students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the Florida site of the February 14 mass shooting, received a surprise visit from Dwyane Wade and the reaction was incredible.
SB Nation reports that Wade stopped by to let them know how proud he was of them and how much they inspired him.
“Thank y’all. I just want to come here today, and hopefully for a moment — for a second bring a little bit of this. Bring a little excitement, bring a little joy. What you guys have been going through has been amazing from afar, and I just wanted to come and say I’m inspired by all of you.”
Affected in a positive way about the visit, Wade tweeted his experience and says he’s looking forward to becoming more involved with the change students are creating.,
I just had a great conversation with some of the students at Stoneman Douglas High School about some important/impactful things that they have planned. I’m looking forward to being more involved in the change that they WILL create. #MSDStrong ????????????????????????
