With the NBA playoffs about one week out, Washington Wizards John Wall is ready to step up to the challenge and knock off the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Boston Celtics according to MassLive.
The Wizards could be facing off versus the Celtics in the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs and Wall is up to the challenge. Last season the Wizards fell to the Celtics in 7 games after Kelly Olynyk dropped 26 points sending the Wizards home. This season according to NBC Sports Washington Wall is looking for a challenge and wants to send a message for their final games as they will face the Celtics and Cavs.
“I want to play against the teams that are going to be in the playoffs. No offense to the teams that are not going to the playoffs,” Wall told reporters after Tuesday’s loss to Houston. I want to play against Cleveland and definitely against Boston because those are who we might end up seeing in the playoffs. So, leave a statement there.”
Wall has never lacked confidence and he should feel good about his chances. The Wizards take on the Cavs tonight on TNT at 5 pm and then next Tuesday will take on the injury-plagued Celtics.
The Wizards have a better chance of knocking out the Celtics considering how banged up they are. With Wall back, the debate of the best backcourt comes to play as Bradley Beal and Wall are a top duo in the NBA. Let’s see how the Wizards finish off the season.
