The Oklahoma City Thunder have been eliminated from the playoffs courtesy of the Utah Jazz. The “Big 3” of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony started the season under .500 and managed to pick it up as the season went on. The team never looked as dominant as some predicted, and their lack of dominance was exposed against the Jazz.
Many people have blamed Anthony lackluster production for the Thunder’s early exit and have been calling for him to be taken out of the starting line up. Carmelo averaged career playoff lows of 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds on 37% shooting from the field, and 21% from three point.
As per Bleacher Report, Melo was asked if he’d be willing to take a bench role and let’s just say that he has no intention in giving up his starting role:
