Conor McGregor was out of control yesterday as he damaged a UFC bus in the Barclays Center parking lot that had several fighters injured and was charged with assault. This incident put several UFC 223 fights in jeopardy.
An NYPD source says that McGregor has been cooperative and many cops have expressed that they are fans of his. Cops were even shadow boxing with him as he was awaiting his arraignment. One can only imagine though how the NYPD would act if this was Floyd Mayweather instead. It’s interesting that a classless act by McGregor doesn’t get taken seriously by law enforcement.
NYPD playing around with McGregor also comes as an inappropriate time as they recently gunned down Saheed Vassell this week, an unarmed black man in Brooklyn who mistakened his shower head for a gun. We all know that cops know the difference of what is and isn’t a gun.
McGregor was also weighed in at 155 pounds as he was being booked by police. He has been very comfortable as of late and is not looking to fight anyone but people still think he could fight at UFC 223 tomorrow as everyone knows that Dana White is always all ears as to how he can create some buzz.
