Why is Jim Mora Trying to Hurt Josh Rosen’s Draft Stock With These Millennial QB Comments

I don’t think any of this matters. I believe teams that like Josh Rosen have already made up their mind about him, but with that said, why would a coach even make these comments?

You have to know when you are making them you are only hurting the kid for no reason at all, what do you get out of it, besides bringing attention to yourself, which I assume is what Mora wanted when he said this to MMQB.

“He needs to be challenged intellectually so he doesn’t get bored,” “He’s a millennial.”

“He wants to know why. Millennials, once they know why, they’re good.”

“Josh has a lot of interests in life. If you can hold his concentration level and focus only on football for a few years, he will set the world on fire. He has so much ability, and he’s a really good kid.”

Being smart and having other interests in life, doesn’t determine if you are a bad or good football player, just very sad Mora would go this route.
