According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, an unnamed source from the Cavaliers told Lloyd how he really felt about the Kyrie-Isaiah Thomas trade:
Danny Ainge is a f*cking thief…no explanation needed.
The Cavs only had IT for 15 games, before they packaged him off to the Lakers for a mix of Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood, George Hill, and Larry Nance Jr.
The Cavs also acquired the Brooklyn Nets’ lottery pick in the same deal, which turned out to be the Eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after last night’s order reveal.
Boston took a shocking 2-0 lead on the Cavs last night and the Celtics haven’t had all of their horses healthy at the same time for the entire season.
Maybe that Brooklyn deal, where Danny landed three First-Round draft picks off the Nets, for a broken-down Paul Pierce and a broken-down KG wasn’t a fluke at all.
Maybe Danny Angie is just the ultimate finesser.
Still, Boston had to shut down Kyrie prior to the Playoffs.
So as it stands, none of the players that were involved in the Kyrie-Thomas deal are playing right now for either team, and both of the teams that were involved in the blockbuster trade are competing for the Eastern Conference Finals.
Funny how the NBA works sometimes.
