James Prince tried to warn Notorious B.I.G. but ultimately it wasn’t enough to save him as he was murdered in Los Angeles, California on March 9, 1997.
According to TMZ, James had serious concerns about the safety of rapper B.I.G. and rushed to the set as Biggie and P. Diddy were shooting their music video for Hypnotize. James had spent time in Los Angeles with Scarface and was hearing talk about a revenge murder in sync with the murder of Tupac Shakur six months earlier. Rumors placed Biggie and Diddy in the mix for the murder of Tupac.
James made it to the set pleading his case for Biggie and Diddy to skip town but the two basically ignored James. A few weeks later Biggie was murdered in Los Angeles. Sources close with TMZ say, there wasn’t clear evidence of a hit in motion but all signs pointed that Biggie should leave Los Angeles until things calmed down.
