LeBron James has made his presence felt this postseason. We’ve seen him drop multiple game-winning shots at the buzzer to defeat the Raptors which resulted in a sweep of them for the second straight year. The question still remains is if there’s any way to stop the king.
Kobe Bryant was on the Chris & Caron radio show on Fox Sports to discuss how to contain James. Bryant simply said that defenders need to stop James from driving to his left. This was evident in game three when James was able to get a floater that banked off the backboard for the win. James’ sheer strength helped him get into the lane he needed to get a good shot off.
“For one thing, you have to stop letting him go left,” said Bryant. “Every big shot that he makes is going left. He’s remarkable about getting to that left hand and being able to raise up and shoot. That’s the first thing I would do, disrupt his ability to go left.”
