Ex-NFL player Desmond Marrow is receiving partial justice after being brutalized during a traffic stop.
New York Daily News reports that the officer caught on video choking Marrow has been fired, and felony charges he received as a result of the incident have been dropped.
“He started screaming in joy over the phone,” attorney Chris Stewart told the Daily News after the Henry County district attorney also notified Marrow that a felony charge against him had been dropped over his brutal road rage arrest on Dec. 2.
The Henry County District Attorney issued the following statement.
“We have reviewed the police reports, witness statements, 911 calls, audio and videos, as well as interviewed witnesses, and determined there is insufficient evidence to present any felony charges to a grand jury.”
In the video, taken by an anonymous person of Marrow’s arrest, showed officers slamming his head into the back of a truck in a parking lot and choking him while he yelled “I’m not even fighting back!”
