3 Obstacles Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. Must Eliminate Before Meeting For a Unification Title Fight (Video)

With the fight against Jeff Horn now in the rearview, Crawford awaits the outcome of Spence’s fight against Carlos  O’Campo and whether or not that pick-up game will happen. As for a fight in the ring, Crawford is optimistic the fight can be made despite their respective promoter and manager’s relationship have been less than cordial in recent years.

“I just think businesswise it has to make sense,” Crawford said to ESPN.com. “Al isn’t going to send his fighters to ESPN if it doesn’t make sense, and Bob isn’t going to send me to Showtime if it doesn’t make sense. If the fight makes sense, the fight will happen. I’ve already fought two Al Haymon fighters, so I don’t think that will stop a fight from getting done. … It’s boxing, so anything can happen. A lot people are leaning towards me and Errol Spence, but we never know what tomorrow holds.”

Both fighters wanting the fight is a step in the right direction but there are still a number of factors that will have to be resolved before the welterweight division’s top guys face-off. Here are three factors that could prevent a welterweight super fight between Terence “Bud” Crawford and Errol Spence Jr.
