Rep. Maxine Waters is canceling weekend speaking engagements after receiving death threats.
ABC 7 News Los Angeles reports that the Waters announced she will not be speaking in Alabama and Texas this weekend after receiving serious death threats, including lynching.
Waters said she will not attend scheduled speaking engagements in Alabama and Texas because of serious death threats, including lynching.
Waters has been targeted since she encouraged protesters to publicly confront and “push back on” Trump administration officials over immigration policies.
President Trump accused Waters of encouraging assaults on his supporters.
Waters has been very critical of Trump Administration’s position on immigration but maintains she only supports peaceful protest.
