NBA draft hopeful Kevin Knox says an NBA team pressed him on having a baby during their meeting. The problem is, he doesn’t have one.
Speaking to the media ahead of Thursday’s draft, the Kentucky basketball stand-out says a team (he won’t disclose which) pressed him about having a baby. After Knox stood his ground, adamantly denied the existence of a child and asked for the child’s name, the team representative admitted the whole thing was a hoax.
“One team, I don’t know what team it was … they asked if I had a kid,” Knox told reporters in New York on Wednesday. “They were like, ‘I heard you had a kid on the way.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t have a baby.’ They were like, ‘You sure? I want to know its name.’ ”
“They were just pressing me about it just to see how I react, see if I budged,” Knox said. “Didn’t budge at all, because I have no babies.”
That’s an interesting interview technique.
