It’s easy to forget that Dwight Howard is an 8-time All-Star and made the All-NBA First team 5 times in addition to winning the Defensive Player of the Year 3 times. For various reasons, Howard is simply not a fan favorite.
Set to become a free agent on July 1 after he reaches a buyout agreement with the Brooklyn Nets, Howard is said to have a deep interest in joining the Golden State Warriors according to USA Today.
Several outlets have reported that Howard’s interest is not reciprocated. The Warriors are said to feel the the veteran forward/center who has averaged 17.4 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game over a 14-year career.
