The Fast and Furious franchise just got a little bit better looking.
Variety reports that Idris Elba is in final negotiations to play the main villain in “Hobbs and Shaw,” the “Fast and Furious” spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
The film will see the often-at-odds pair teaming up. Sources say Elba’s character is the antagonist the duo will go up against.
The Rock took to his Instagram account to sing the praises of his new co-star.
For years we’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to work together and this film is the perfect one.
The project, which will be co-produced by Johnson’s Seven Bucks Promotions, is scheduled to land in theaters on July 26, 2019.
