We recently reported the disturbing details of ex-NFL player Brandon Browner’s attempted murder charge, but in case you needed a refresher, here they are again:
Browner has been hit with 1 count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential robbery, first-degree burglary, person present, and false imprisonment. He also faces two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to a child.
Officials say Browner broke into his former GF’s apartment in La Verne, CA on July 8th and allegedly chased the victim, dragged her and then smothered her in a carpet.
Her two children were present when the alleged abuse occurred.
After pleading not guilty, Browner’s bail was set at $10 million.
The NFL has a huge problem with domestic violence accusations currently & even with Browner being a couple of seasons removed from his last NFL snap; this is still going to appear on sports pages across the country right in the football section.
Browner appeared in a Los Angeles courthouse for his arraignment hearing, & will be back in court later in the week to try to get his bail reduced (good luck).
