Johnny Manziel Traded To Montreal Alouettes; How He Can Earn Starting Job

QB Johnny Manziel had his opportunity to make his football comeback with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats but things haven’t gone so well as of lately. Manziel played a few games for Hamilton in the preseason but hasn’t played in the team’s four regular season games so far.

Manziel was traded today to the Montreal Alouettes for two first round draft picks and two players. This could be a good situation for Manziel as Montreal’s head coach Mike Sherman coached and recruited him while being a redshirt freshman at Texas A&M.

“We have acquired an exceptional quarterback with undeniable talent,” said Alouettes’ general manager Kavis Reed,. “With his great mobility, his athletic abilities and his instinct we believe that he will have a positive impact on our offense.” (Via Ticats.ca)

Montreal has the CFL’s worst record at 1-4 so maybe Manziel will be able to take the reigns and earn the starting role that he’s been looking for as the team continues to find answers.
