With the start of the 2018 – 2019 NFL season approaching, talks are continuing between the players and association and league officials regarding National Anthem protests and how the league will act in the upcoming season.
In a joint statement released on Thursday, both sides concede they have not reached a formal decision an will continue talks. In the meantime, the league will not suspend or take any other type of punitive actions against players who choose to protest.
“In order to allow this constructive dialogue to continue, we have come to a standstill agreement on the NFLPA’s grievance and on the NFL’s anthem policy.
