Kevin Federline and Britney Spears are headed back to court because Federline feels his ex-wife isn’t paying him enough child support.
TMZ reports that Federline is seeking to have monthly child supports raised from the $20K per month Spears has been paying for years to $60K per month. Spears’ legal team contend that the children they have together are fine and that Federline is attempting to get financial support for his additional 4 children.
Spears also maintains she currently pays for all of their children’s expenses already on top of the $20K a month she pays in support bringing her monthly total to something in the neighborhood of $35K per month.
Kevin’s lawyer has reportedly demanded $60k a month … which Britney and her conservator, Jamie Spears, have refused to pay. We’re told Jamie is agreeable to raising child support by around $10k a month, despite the fact he believes Kevin doesn’t really pay for anything related to the kids.
Friday’s hearing, we’re told, could get contentious because Britney wants to cut to the chase and figure out what, if anything, Kevin really needs for the kids. We’re told Kevin’s lawyer wants to comb through all of Britney’s contracts to determine exactly how much she makes and spends.
As of now, proceedings have been put off until a feature date with no current change in the amount of support Spears is paying Federline.
