Nicki Minaj has not held her tongue since her album came out Friday and DJ Self found himself in the crossfire last night. In a recently deleted tweet, Nicki claimed that Self asked for a drop and she declined, while also being mad because she did not hug him.
Power 105.1’s DJ Self addressed the Nicki Minaj situation last night on his radio broadcast. After referring to himself as being ‘lit,’ Dj Self explained that he does not have a relationship with Nicki Minaj and never has.
“I don’t have a relationship with her at all. Self explained.
According to Self, Nicki asked him about a year ago to make a video of him playing her record.
“She is from New York City and I’m going to support her.. I’ve never had any other conversations with her at all,” Self explained.
He left for a meeting out of the interview space, Self explains an hour an a half into his meeting DJ Clue came to inquire if there was beef between Nicki and himself.
“Not that I know of, Why? Wassup?” Clue explained Nicki Minaj declined to do DJ Self’s drop for him after her interview was done.
“Later on that night she started to tweet a lot of lies… I was weird, because I’ve never had a conversation about a him or her!” Self explained he was wierded out by the lies peromptly tweeted by Nicki that have since now been deleted.
DJ Self is not innocent in this beef at all, having a previous deleted Instagram post that he referred to Cardi B having the best album out this year by a female. Love and Hip Hop’s Mariah Lynn came to the defense of DJ Self. An argument that may be a bit above her pay grade with Nicki Minaj that can also be seen in the pages below.
