Janet Hubert says this is the last time she will publically discuss Will Smith and her time on the Fresh Prince, etc.
In her latest video rant, posted on YouTube, Hubert not only blames Smith for her lack of work and opportunities in Hollywood but calls out BET and TV One, which she calls the “N*gga Networks,” for taking a personal post and how outlets covered her son’s struggles with mental illness.
“I’m calling you n***a networks because that is what you are,” she said. Coverage of her son’s health also shifted to Hubert’s mental health for her continued remarks against the Smith family. “BET, TV One and man-b***hes like Perez Hilton. And what you did is take my personal post and you put it on blast and you put what you thought I meant. You put your own seasoning on this so-called steak. Not caring what was happening in my life and not calling me to ask me if I was okay. No concern, no compassion for my situation whatsoever. I’ve realized something about the black media…when you start questioning my mental ability TV One, Kathy Hughes, we have a problem.”
Hubert then shifts back to her well-documented disdain for Will Smith.
My life when you banished me and when you tainted me and when you put your poison in, you poisoned my entire world…Every time I try to have a meeting … every time I try to call Oprah for help, Oprah’s people would say, ‘No she’s friends with will and Janet will never be on the show … we can’t promote her on the show because she has a very deep, profound friendship with Will.”
“Well, if somebody said your mama’s a hoe and then that reputation follows you and follows you and follows you and follows you, your mama becomes a hoe.”
Hubert then goes on to explain how her son was bullied as a result of her being on the show and no longer having a career.
“He used to walk down the street and they would call him a little rich motherf*cker! We were certainly not rich!”
Oh, and please stop calling her Aunt Viv if you see her in the streets.
“If I could go back and redo anything, I would have turned down ‘Fresh Prince.’ It was the bane of my existence. It was just a job and I’m glad you all liked it. But please don’t call me Aunt Viv. If you didn’t see me at your Thanksgiving table, I am not your aunt, honey.”
