LaDainian Tomlinson Shares His Views As To Why Bridgewater Should Start Over Darnold For Week 1 (Video)

There are just a few days left till preseason departs and the regular season starts. One of the biggest topics right now is who is going to start for the Jets as their quarterback come Opening Day. If you’re LaDainian Tomlinson, you’re going with Teddy Bridgewater over rookie Sam Darnold.

The reasons to be excited are very much there, if you’re a Jets fan of course. When the cards are laid out, it’s going to get tough at one point and week 1 is almost around the corner. Who would you start at quarterback on Opening Day? Former brief Jets player LaDainian Tomlinson believes that Teddy Bridgewater should start over rookie Sam Darnold.

For me, I think Teddy Bridgewater has played the best. Sam Darnold is obviously the future. If it was me, I would put Bridgewater in and bring Sam slowly.

Well, that’s his take. Both have been shining and it gives us a little hope as to how this season will turn out for the Jets. Bridgewater has completed 74% of his passes (17 for 23) for 212 yards and two touchdowns with the Jets. Meanwhile, Darnold has been looking like a stud during the MetLife bowl.

However, are we all forgetting about Josh McCown? He might just open the game and then there will be a rotation in place. That’s just my thoughts but we could all be wrong.
