The UFC continues its pursuit of the best MMA fighters in the world when signature competition show, The Ultimate Fighter, returns on Wednesday for its 28th edition. As previously announced, middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and middleweight contender Kelvin Gastelum will serve as coaches for this round of hopefuls with their own title clash scheduled for the winter.
Still recovering from a surgically repaired right hand (broken in his title defense win against Yoel Romero in June), Whittaker discussed with BSO and other members of the media how an injury suffered after surgery is delaying his return against Gastelum, a horrific tale of weight cutting, fighters missing weight and still earning title opportunities, and how the best part of TUF 28 was the conclusion after a tough four weeks.
Watch BSO’s full video with Robert Whittaker above and watch”TUF 28” each Wednesday on Fox Sports 1.
