Eric Reid is back in the NFL. The Carolina Panthers have signed the all-pro safety Thursday. Colin Kaepernick couldn’t be more excited and says Reid should’ve been in the league week one, per TMZ Sports.
“Congratulations to my brother [Eric Reid], an all-pro safety who should have been signed the first day of free agency, who has signed a football contract.”
If you don’t recall when Kaepernick took a knee there was another 49er who knelt right beside him, that was Eric Reid. The two have been friends for a while and this is great news for both of them. Reid definitely should’ve been on the field sooner, nonetheless, he’s back now. Let’s not forget why Reid was out of the league, he stood for something and was frowned upon, regardless of how he plays he deserves our respect.
Thank you, Eric Reid, best of luck for the remainder of the season.
