Monique Greene’s lawsuit claiming that Nelly sexually assaulted her is now being thrown away, according to The Blast. Court documents stated that it was dismissed with prejudice as Green can’t refile the lawsuit at a later time. The accusation stems from Nelly reportedly assaulting her on a tour bus in late 2017.
Nelly’s lawyer Scott Rosenblum spoke about the case and revealed that both sides came to an agreement to throw it away. He also noted that no money changed hands.
Sources close to Greene revealed that the case was very emotional for her. She just wanted the case to be done with. She wants to move on with her life and that testifying against Nelly was too much to handle.
Greene’s decision to stop cooperating on the case ended up forcing prosecutors to drop it. Nelly did also sue for defemation in response to Greene’s sexual assault and defemation lawsuits.
