Former Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson says he is doing well after suffering a minor stroke last week. He took to social media to update the world on his progress. What he sustained was a Transient Ischemic Attack which wasn’t severe.
“Last week I rather surprisingly suffered what’s known as a Transient Ischemic Attack or mini stroke. The good news is I’m back at home with my family, cleared of any heart issues and have already made great progress on my road to a full recovery.”
Johnson said that problems like this reminds himself to take better care of his health. He went on to say that he will continue updating people on his progress.
Johnson became a superstar in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta where he won two gold medals. He also won in 1992 in Barcelona and in Sydney in 2000. Flip the pages for all of Johnson’s tweets regarding his stroke.
