Le’Veon Bell continues to hold out from the Steelers as he’s waiting to get paid the money that he deserves. Pittsburgh has since been listening to offers for arguably the best running back in the NFL.
Former Steelers Linebacker James Harrison recently appeared on FS1 and offered some very interesting takes regarding how Bell should handle this situation now. He thinks that Bell should return to the team and fake an injury after he gets his money. Bell would then end up possibly getting paid in the offseason.
“If I’m Le’Veon … I’m coming back, what is it, Nov. 13?’ said Harrison. “I’m going to go in there, I’m gonna get my credit this season that I need to get and I’m going to do the best I can to get out of this season healthy.”
Harrison also thinks that Bell should act like he’s fine in practice all week but then bring up the injury when it’s time for game day. He brought up the point of Bell’s relationship with the team already being injured should be return to the team and I agree. The damage has been done so a trade almost seems like the best option at this point. James Connor is no Le’Veon Bell but he’s done a solid job carrying the workload.
