Carmen Bryan, the mother of Nas’ oldest child Destiny is releasing a tell-all book that instead of bashing her ex, warns women of what to expect if you don’t plan for the end of child support.
According to Vlad TV the book entitled, Life After Child Support: When The Checks Stop Coming,” is described by Bryan as “a cautionary tale about outgrowing financial dependency and moving forward.” In a 2017 interview with Vlad TV, Bryan said she had to remind herself that child support is for the child and it was easy to get comfortable living on what Nas paid her.
Child support is not an income for you. It’s supposed to support the child.”
“It was like a gift and a curse, the child support situation. Anyone who gets child support, you know it’s not going to last forever anyway. And, when you’re getting a check every month you become a little content with that,” Bryan told Vlad. “Some people don’t want to go above and beyond that.”
