An Ohio stripclub is losing its liquor license and could face further charges after investigators were allowed to use EBT cards to purchase lap dances and drugs.
ABC 22 Now reports that the Ohio Liquor Control Commission revoked Sharkys License after a lengthy probe revealed that agents were able to purchase drugs and lap dances using food stamps.
During the investigation, agents say they were able to buy drugs and lap dances by using food stamps. During the five-month long investigation, agents exchanged more than $2,000 worth of food stamps to buy heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil, cocaine, methamphetamine and lap dances.
In addition to the club’s license being revoked, employees and patrons of the establishment will be subject to numerious criminal charges including: drug trafficking, food stamp trafficking, aggravated shipment and distribution of heroin, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and illegal sexual activity.
The investation took place over the course of five months beginning in May 2017.
