John Elway’s woes at QB continue. His Broncos have now cut QB Paxton Lynch after drafting him in 2016 in the first round to be the potential heir to Peyton Manning folliwing his retirement and a Super Bowl Win. Lynch was highly scouted after a successful college career at Memphis.
Case Keenum will be the starting QB after the Broncos acquired him in free agency this offseason but it’s surprising to see Lynch not even receive a backup role in Denver. Through two seasons, he’s only thrown for 792 passing yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions.
