Joakim Noah and the Knicks are expected to part ways, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Noah had two years left of his contract that he signed in 2016 and would have been owed $37.8 million.
New York is still actively trying to trade Noah but is still using the waive-and-stretch option in order to release him from his deal. Noah spent nine seasons with the Bulls and was successful during his stint in Chicago and that prompted the Knicks to give him that large contract.
