Kanye West continues to side with Donald Trump despite the racism that he continues to symbolize in America. He’s been wearing the MAGA hat everywhere, including his recent Saturday Night Live performance.
Chance The Rapper is working on a collab album with Ye titled ‘Good Ass Job‘ and recently appeared on The Joe Budden Podcast to discuss Ye’s allegiance to Trump. He defended Ye as he said that he thinks as if he’s in the world 300 years from now.
“I think Kanye thinks – with every move at least for the past few albums – he thinks about himself like 300 years in the future and how people will read things and figures himself as trying to create a bigger blip on the long timeline, whereas a lot of the people will be stuck in a very small space of where their art reaches, or where their thoughts reach, after they’ve died,” said Chance on the podcast.
Chance did say that he believes that Ye is looking for the right amount of attention though. He concluded by telling Budden that they’ve had some serious conversations since he’s been back in Chicago.
“I think he does a lot of stuff for the attention of the masses, to get that stuff documented and made into history, but I think also a lot of times the attention that he may be seeking is at the immediate detriment of some people that may need the attention more.”
I hope that these serious convos that Chance had with Ye detailed the problems that America is facing. Supporting Trump will only add fuel to what he thinks is a great presidency.
