Manny Pacquiao on When and Where He’ll Be Fighting Adrien Broner

First Manny Pacquiao added Al Haymon to his newly constructed team of leadership and now he has a new fight date.

Boxingscene.com reports that Pacquiao will face-off in mid-January against Adrien Broner. Pacquiao reportedly made the announcement to the news source Spin.ph.

The 39-year-old Filipino boxing icon said the fight with Broner could be held either on Jan. 12 or 19, likely in Las Vegas.

According to Spin.ph, Pacquiao made the announcement on Wednesday night when he was introduced as the latest ambassador of International Sports Promotion Society at Makati Shangrila Hotel.

“Broner, Adrien Broner,” said Pacquiao when asked by Spin on who he’s going to fight next. “I think either January 12 or 19.

Pacquiao last saw action in the ring when he defeated Lucas Matthysse in July to capture a version of the WBA welterweight championship. Broner’s last foray into the ring came against former WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas where they fought to a draw.

Pacquiao was spotted recently in a club with Floyd Mayweather where the two fanned rumors of a rematch on social media.
