The LeBron James-led Lakers stand at 4-5 right now and there are serious concerns about Head Coach Luke Walton’s job security in Los Angeles right now. This week, Magic Johnson emphasized Walton needs to turn things around soon, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin.
Today, Johnson made it known that Walton is in no danger of being fired. He added that everything is all good, per Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times. Bill Plashke of the LA Times added that Johnson said that nothing will happen to Walton unless the Lakers see something drastic go downhill.
The Lakers are currently getting blown out at home by the Raptors. We will see if Johnson’s mood changes by the end of the night. James might have to pull a win out of his hat tonight to save Walton from getting fired by Monday Morning.
