Last night, the Bulls got flat out embarrassed on their home floor as they were thrashed 133-77 by the Celtics. Chicago was soon booed by the hometown crowd. They’re now at a dismal 6-21 record on the season.
K.C Johnson of the Chicago Tribune is now reporting that different players said they wanted to skip practice. Vets on the team felt otherwise. Players did end up showing up at the facility but a team meeting was held prior to that.
Per multiple sources, players started a group text exchange debating whether to show up at practice facility today. They ultimately decided to show up and told coaching staff they wanted players only meeting, which was followed by the meeting with coaches.

“I think it was just a communication, a little bit of both,” said interm Head Coach Jim Boylen. (Via K.C. Johnson) “This is what I think is necessary today. And they felt they needed a voice to talk too. And that’s cool. That’s good. This is a family thing. This is open lines of communication.”
A loss that bad warrants a lot of practice so I don’t get why skipping it was proposed in the first place. The Bulls will definitely be lottery bound so it seems like they’re embracing the tank.
