Jabari Parker on How He is Feeling About Being Benched

Four years ago, the Milwaukee Bucks selected Jabari Parker with the second overall pick. At the time, many believed Parker would evolve into a franchise player.

Well, that hasn’t been the case, but when Parker’s hometown Chicago Bulls picked him up, it was an opportuity for the former Duke standout to redeem himself. Unfortunately, it appears this stint will be ending soon as well.

When Jim Boylen took over for Fred Hoiberg, he came in with a completely different mindset. Hoiberg is more of an offensive minded coach, while Boylen is a defensive guy, which didn’t suite well for Parker.

Parker hasn’t played in the last seven contests.

“I will never point the finger. That’s not me. That’s not my career. That’s not Jabari,” Parker told the Tribune. “My Dad taught me better than that. I’m a God-fearing man. I would never bash somebody. I’ll tell you what I think is the truth. But making it personal and telling lies is not me and will never be me.”

Nonetheless, Parker believes he’s held up his end.

“I kept my end of the bargain.”

It’ll be interesting to see how many bidders there are for Parker’s services near the trade deadline.
