The Clippers hosted the Pistons this afternoon and Blake Griffin cooked his former team. He posted 44 points, eight rebounds and five assists. What became the hot topic from the game was from the pregame warmups.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer tried to shake Griffin’s hand as it looked like he was approaching him but Griffin ended up going straight to the locker room. Griffin ended up saying after the game that he meant no disrespect and that it’s always a routine to run back into the locker room after his warmups.
Griffin gave his explanation but it sure looked like he saw Ballmer there. It’s an usual situation but nonetheless, he did give the Clippers nine and a half great years.
Griffin also said a reporter that tweeted out that he intentionally didn’t shake Ballmer’s hand is “BS.” When asked about potentially shaking his hand next time, he said he wouldn’t answer hypothetical questions.
