Travis Scott and Big Boi are both performing at the Super Bowl despite criticism from fans not to due to the NFL blackballing Colin Kaepernick for protesting racism and police brutality. Nick Cannon appeared on BET’s Raq Rants show hosted by Raquel Harper and discussed why Big Boi gets a pass and Travis Scott doesn’t.
Cannon said that Big Boi has proven that he’s for the culture and Scott hasn’t. Cannon started off by saying he’s Team Kaepernick all day and that it’s about cultural equity. He said Big Boi is for the people and Scott doesn’t have integrity to who you are in your music, with the people, and who you interact and procreate with.
Scott has definitely gotten more criticism than Big Boi for sure despite Scott saying the NFL has to donate $500,000 to a social justice group for him to perform. Flip the page to check out Cannon’s full thoughts on Scott not being for the culture.
Raq Rants with Raquel Harper and Nick Cannon will air at 11PM ET tonight. Flip the page for Harper’s convo with Cannon about Scott, courtesy of TMZ.
