One of the teams who have openly said they’d be interested is the Chicago Bears. Matt Nagy was Hunt’s offensive coordinator during Hunt’s rookie year, so there is a connection there.
Hunt, who has been out of the NFL since he was placed on the commissioner’s list since late November, has been going through counseling to address his issues. He’d have a lot of hurdles to get through before even thinking about an NFL return, which includes finishing his counseling, and showing teams that he’s fully past the mistakes he made.
Hunt has rushed for 2151 yards and 15 touchdowns during his two seasons in the league. He was a focal point of the Chiefs explosive offense before getting suspended. Adding his ability to run the football well, Hunt has caught 79 passes out of the backfield for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns.
