The last time Colin Kaepernick stepped foot on a football field was January 1st, 2017. Yes, it’s been over two years now. In Roger Goodell’s state of the NFL presser earlier this week, he was asked about Kaepernick.
“I think if a team decides that Colin Kaepernick or any other player can help their team win, that’s what they’ll do,” he said. “They want to win, and they make those decisions individually in the best interest of their club.”
According to Kaepernick’s former coach, Chip Kelly, he believes he can contribute to winning now.
“Anybody that wants a good quarterback should sign him,” Kelly stated.
Kaepernick is still currently dealing with a collusion grievance against the NFL after they failed to reach an agreement.
