Last night, Duke’s Zion Williamson suffered a gruesome leg injury 36 seconds into their game vs UNC. His shoe also completely blew out on him on that play. Many are pointing the blame to Nike for not ensuring that his shoe was safe and secure. His timetable to return is now unknown.
The Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins spoke on Williamson’s injury and isn’t a fan of college basketball at all. He says that the NCAA doesn’t benefit the players in regards to not getting paid and that Williamson should just focus on the NBA Draft at this point.
Thunder Guard Paul George also spoke on Williamson’s injury that has the sports world in a frenzy right now. He said he doesn’t know the severity of the injury but is wishing him the best. As far as the Nike sneakers blowing out, he said he’s been speaking with them since last night to find out exactly what went wrong. George added that his shoe has been successful.
