Puma suffered a little Tweeter’s remorse after trolling Nike.
Duke basketball player Zion Williamson suffered a knee injured during Wednesday night’s game against North Carolina when the Nike shoe he was wearing fell apart. Wasting no time, Puma infired off a troll tweet following the injury saying that wouldn’t have happened had he been wearing a Puma shoe.
Pump the breaks Puma. Minimally wish Williamson a speedy recovery. He’s more than his shoes.
Puma ultimately deleted the tweet.
Nike vowed to conduct a full investigation into the matter reports ESPN.
“We are obviously concerned and want to wish Zion a speedy recovery,” Nike said in a statement. “The quality and performance of our products are of utmost importance. While this is an isolated occurrence, we are working to identify the issue.”
