A lot of things have changed since the last time that we saw Roman Reigns in a WWE ring. In fact, it has been 122 days since the former Universal Champion had to relinquish his title. Reigns has been out since late October to fight his battle with leukemia.
While he has been away, Brock Lesnar has resumed his reign as Universal Champion. Lesnar is preparing to face Reigns’ Shield brother Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 35 in New York City this April for the Universal Title.
That will all change come this coming Monday as WWE Chairman Vince McMahon announced earlier today that Roman Reigns will return to Monday Night Raw to provide an update on his medical status.
Reigns has made very few public appearances since he has been away from WWE. Recently though, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared via Instagram, that Reigns will be playing his brother in the upcoming film Hobbs & Shaw set to debut later this summer.
Monday Night’s Raw will be the celebration of Ric Flair’s 70th birthday, which the WWE has promoted heavily for weeks now. With the addition of Reigns, along with white hot superstar Becky Lynch, it should be a Raw to remember.
Hopefully, the WWE Grand Slam Champion will have some good news to share as he continues his heroic fight against leukemia.
