Tyler Perry is adding his thoughts to the on-going investigation and speculation surrounding Jussie Smollett and whether or not the reported attack was a hoax.
Taking to Instagram, Perry says he’s spoken to Smollet and wants people to stop the hate and he wished other cases received more attention.
“I have personally spoken to Jussie, and he is adamant that he’s telling the truth. Also, everyone that I know who knows him says that he is not the kind of person who would make up such a horrible and awful thing. Yet the evidence seems to state otherwise. I’m lost for words.”
The investigation is still underway in Chicago. During the recent Grand Jury hearing, the brother’s suspected in the attack/hoax testified that the check Smollett gave them, was not payment for a planned attack but was earmarked for personal training/nutritional guidance to help Smollett plan for a role.
