It was hinted before Super Bowl LIII’s halftime that besides Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi performing that Spongebob Squarepants may make an appearance and he did.
Spongebob opened up for Travis Scott as a tribute to the creator of Spongebob, Stephen Hillenburg, who died last November.
Maroon 5 actually performed in one of Spongebob’s episode in season two at football game.
